Lectora Professional Publishing Suite Version 9 includes the following new features and enhancements:
- Flash and Games Library
A library of Flash games and animations is now available, such as flash cards, character race, digital clock, text animation, jigsaw puzzle, tic tac toe, male and female animated characters, matching pair game, anolog clock, arrow highlight, and a photo viewer. These Flash animations have many customizable parameters that allow users to integrate games and animations into their titles in a variety of ways. - Notes Report
The Notes Report tool allows you to view all of the notes associated with a title in a quick convenient report. The notes can be sorted by a variety of fields, and the report can be downloaded and printed. - iPhone / iPod Touch Publishing options
Users will be provided with more than twenty templates and two wizards that will allow them to publish titles that are properly formatted for the iPhone and iPod Touch. - Chart Tool
A new tool has been added that allows users to create a variety of charts (bar, pie, line, etc.) based upon standard spreadsheet formatted data. The chart will be added to the title as an image, which will be able to be edited and recreated in a manner similar to the button wizard or the shape tool. - Web 2.0 / Ajax Popup Windows
A new publishing option has been added which will enable all popup windows to be displayed in a browser based, Web 2.0 fashion. This will enable titles to have a more modern look, as well as allowing popup windows even when a user has popup windows blocked. The user will still have the option of using the old style popup windows if they are preferred. - MoveTo / SizeTo animations
Objects that are moved and/or sized via a Lectora action can now be animated to their position/size. The action now has a slider which allows the user to adjust the speed of the animation from slow to immediate. - Custom Flash Player Skins
The Flash Video/Audio player has four new skins available, Black, Blue, Red, and Silver, as well as the original default skin. These skins can be selected on the new “skins” tab on the properties of a media object. - Streaming YouTube Videos
A new video type “YouTube video” has been defined. This allows the user to simply cut and paste a YouTube URL into the properties of a video object, and the corresponding video will be embedded into the title. - Media Open dialog
The dialogs for adding Audio/Video to Lectora will allow for a preview of the media. - Search by Object Name
Search will add a new option that will allow you to search for objects by name. - Enhanced Flash Support
Flash parameters are now supported in preview mode and when published to CD and EXE. - Edit mode page switching
Users can now use the Page Up/Down keys to switch between pages while in edit mode in Lectora.
Lectora Professional Publishing Suite Version 9 includes the following bug fixes:
- On show flash commands not working on network
- Convert to FLV: WMA/WMV Events are not retained
- SP2: Issues with opening non-English Help and User Guide
- Cut off text in Spanish and French versions of Lectora
- Cut off text in Spanish and French versions of Power Point Integrator
- Random initial max value is set to 0
- Bottom of file scripting option causes preview window to be shown
- Matching question line will not hide
- Likert interaction not reporting correctly
- Revised German Translation
