New Features:

Tabbing Navigation in the Properties ribbons

You can press Tab to navigate and select a control on the Object Properties ribbons. Additionally, pressing Shift + Tab will focus on the previous control. To start tabbing navigation, press Alt or click to select an editable field, such as the Name or Image fields in the Image group on the Properties ribbon for images.

Flypaper 3.9 Support

Lectora Inspire supports Flypaper 3.9. This includes the new Flybrary List View, QR Code Component support, filtering Web image results, and enhancements and improvements to several components.

Theme Swapping

When you select a theme for your title, placeholders are automatically inserted for a logo and a course title. Changes made to these placeholders are retained should you select a different theme.

Thumbnail View Improvements

The Thumbnail View includes improvements to your ability to modify chapters, sections, and pages. Along with better visual indicators of your title structure, this includes the ability to reorder, rename, copy, paste, delete, and access the right-click menu all from the Thumbnail View.

Tin Can .95 Support

Lectora updates support for the Tin Can API to the .95 specification. A successor to SCORM, the Tin Can API allows any learning activity be stored as a statement inside a Learning Records Store.

Mobile Triggers and Actions

Use the Swipe Left and Swipe Right to execute an action when a user swipes with a finger on a touch device or with a click-and-swipe using a mouse.

Fixes:

Application

• Multiple fixes to prevent Lectora from unexpectedly closing
• Some property changes are not retained when the application window is narrowed
• Hyperlink dialog unusable with magnified display settings
• Printing titles from within Lectora cuts off text for some text blocks
• TriQA, TriMuteAll and TrivTimeObj variables cause an error when in Debug mode
• Changing x/y and w/h coordinates while zoomed in use incorrect values
• Can’t move a section between 2 other sections in Title Explorer
• Debug window incorrectly shows Attempts variable
• Documentation references Author control and right click menu

Themes

• Title Themes are not always being retained when a title is closed and opened
• Some of the Theme buttons and images “missing” when changing Themes
• Initial Save of title clears any Metadata you have on your Title Logo

Audio/Video

• Can’t save events more than one time when using MP3 files
• Mute and unmute actions do not work with MP3 files
• Events are not working for published MP3 files for EU users
• Events are not working for WMV files when converted to MP4 after published
• Events cannot be deleted
• Task Queue Error for media when “&” is included in directory to course
• Streaming video, i.e. MP4, not using HTML5 tags
• Events placed at .13 seconds or less from the end will not trigger

Buttons, Images, and Shapes

• Bevel Height entry field/spinner not functioning correctly for Text Buttons
• Buttons created in Lectora X using strange fonts cannot be created in v11
• Changing the Button Text font does not work correctly
• PNG and Shape rendering is too slow
• Lines drawn right-to-left flip direction when color or weight is changed
• Using shape tool and transparent fill color and can no longer use outline option

Objects and Text

• Text blocks with vertical scroll and have a border displays black when published
• White default font styles do not show up in dropdown against a white background.
• Drop down TOC set to only display chapter names not working correctly when published
• Indented List and drop down TOC will display pages when ‘Show Pages’ option is deselected
• Cannot align groups
• Random (No Fly) transition cannot be selected
• Menus not displaying the arrow images for submenus
• External HTML Object Cascading Style Sheet and additional files not included in web publish
• Menus from vX titles when opened and published in v11 are misaligned
• wmode=transparent on Flash objects doesn’t work in published output in IE8
• Certain modifications to menus from existing Lectora X courses causes errors on publish
• Entry fields appear slightly larger when published out to web-based format

Actions

• Move actions take a long time to come up with coordinates in large title
• Timer with Display Message Action will crash an unsaved title on save
• On keystroke action does not support Enter key
• European machines with comma for decimal experiencing issues with action delays
• Run JavaScript actions with conditions causes JS error if not enclosed in braces
• Modifying variable action shows one line in ribbon but you can enter multiple lines

Publish

• Fixes to Command Line Publishing
• Publish to AICC with Lightbox pop-ups causes JavaScript error for bookmark prompt
• Can’t publish SCORM or AICC with Java TitleManager
• Running Error Check in Publisher does not prompt to remove unused resources
• ALT tags do not appear for images, only buttons
• In IE8 lightbox pop-ups are locked to the top of the page
• Using “scroll to” for pop-up with lightbox causes formatting issues in IE
• Publish to ReviewLink gives an empty alert message and prevents publish
• “Create ALT tags…” text is cut off in HTML Publish Options
• Publishing to SCORM 2004 as a standard title causes issues in imsmanifest
• Including two underscores back to back in directory will cause an error when publishing

Tests & Questions

• Resized images for test questions will get reverted back to original size when edited
• CSV import is not bringing in feedback
• Question feedback with Show Page loaded from versions prior to vX converted to next page
• Show page feedback in vX comes over as Go To in existing window
• Question answers using apostrophes and custom radio buttons do not work
• Essay Question with Immediate Feedback pages goes to next page before message is closed
• Fill in the Blank – correct answer does not trigger correct feedback if previously answered
• Option to grade each choice does not stay selected when you save and reopen a title
• Multiple Response question not working in publish when using IsCorrect conditions
• Using Reset Question action with a condition at the page level causes JS error
• Process question with feedback set to go to page in existing window does not work correctly
• Modifying a Likert question in v11 from title created in vX causes error
• n/a option no longer initially available for 5-choice Likert scales
• Hotspot questions with transparent hotspots causes JS error in IE8
• Fill in the blank question with only correct feedback causes JS error
• Test with questions using standard window on process question feedback won’t advance
• Option to ‘Show Feedback for Each Question’ is always selected when you open a title
• Initially Hidden for Question doesn’t save properly
• Deleting the first statement of a Likert Question causes issues
• Edit drag and drop question coordinates and it will reduce it by 1 pixel
• Show feedback option for Tests can’t be turned off – option doesn’t save
