Utilizing the Powerful Tools of Lectora Inspire Version 11: Part One – Flypaper Pro

Lectora® Inspire e-Learning software provides hundreds of powerful features and tools right at your fingertips to create amazing e-Learning content. One of these powerful tools that comes bundled with the new Lectora V11 is Flypaper™ Pro.Flypaper allows you to create powerful interactive animations with zero programming experience. Users can easily develop and share interactive content for use in Lectora e-Learning courses.When you launch Lectora, you can easily access Flypaper right from the “Getting Started” screen. Simply click on the Flypaper for Lectora button on the lower right panel, and it will instantly launch the Flypaper application.

If you’re already working within a Lectora title, you can quickly launch the application by selecting Flypaper from the Tools ribbon.

Now let’s take a look at some of the features in Flypaper Pro!Flypaper Components: Flypaper components are pre-programmed interactive elements that are the building blocks of Flypaper. Components allow you to incorporate media, text, special effects and many other animations on a page. All you have to do is drag a component to your page and modify the properties in the Properties Tab for complete control over the appearance and behavior of the component. These components can be found in the Flybrary within Flypaper. If you are looking for a specific component, the easy-to-use search function can help you find it!

Online Storage and Repository: Don’t bother IT; let Flypaper host it for you! Flypaper Pro users get access to a private, secure area for storing published projects, media and more. Some uses include:

  • Storing and serving published Web projects—viewers will use an encrypted URL for each project in order to access the content.
  • Storage repository for images, templates, videos, SWF’s and Flypaper source (.fly) files. This makes all files available to your Flypaper users via the Flybrary search capabilities.

Dashboard: The Dashboard gives you real-time feedback on how learners are interacting with your content. Flypaper tracks viewer activity and returns the information to the online dashboard for viewing and reporting. Look at every project you’ve published, who’s viewed it, and dig into how long a viewer stayed on each page and the path he or she took through the project.
