Last week, Joe Ganci—or eLearningJoe as you may know him—joined us for a great Inspiration Wednesday webinar. He shared how making eLearning for every device can be easy using Lectora® with Responsive Course Design™. Just design once, and publish to all device sizes and types. Here’s one Responsive Course Design how-to that Joe shared in the webinar handout he created:Giving Learners the Ability to Swipe Right and Left on Mobile DevicesI am not a big fan of linear lessons, the kind where learners click Next, Next, Next because most learners just don’t learn much that way. Involve the learner on each page. Have the learner do something to engage him or her.Nonetheless, there are times when you may be creating an informational lesson without much interactivity that may involve a lot of branching depending on learner responses. In the cases of linear learning, you can opt to let the learner swipe right and left on their mobile devices. It also works on desktop and laptop touch screens and using the mouse to drag the current page left or right. The idea of Swipe Left and Right can be a bit counterintuitive. Here’s how it works:
Create an action and note the two options under TouchScreen. Set Swipe Left to go to the next page and Swipe Right to go to the previous page.
