Ready to create an online quiz or survey to evaluate users’ knowledge after taking your course? Simple—follow these easy steps to test what they’ve learned in a functional and interactive way with Snap! by Lectora. Within the PowerPoint plug-in, you can create gradable quizzes with a variety of question types, and deliver results to a custom database, or communicate directly with a learning management system, like CourseMill LMS. With these instructions, you can develop dynamic and effective courses in a snap!To insert a quiz into your presentation:
- First, select “quiz” from the Snap! by Lectora ribbon, or menu.
- Within the quiz creator, you can instantly add questions by choosing your preferred type from the ribbon. Each time you add a question, Snap! by Lectora presents various options for configuring, and then adds the question to the “question list.” This represents all of the questions that are part of the quiz, and each one can be rearranged or removed to your liking.
- When you select a question in the list, its properties are presented on the right. Use the text fields and controls within this question area to specify the various parts of your question, including the textual question, any images, audio or video associated with the question, possible answers and feedback available to the viewer upon answering the question. The information necessary here will differ based on the question type.
- Quizzes can easily be reused within other presentations by exporting the quiz from the current Snap! by Lectora presentation, and importing it into the new Snap! by Lectora presentation. And, you can modify quiz properties, such as the lowest passing score, randomization and submission options, so there's no stress.
- When you’re ready to preview the quiz, click the “preview” button. You can even just preview an individual question within the quiz.
- Once your quiz has been created, save it and close the quiz creator by clicking “save and close.” Each quiz within your presentation will occupy a single slide within PowerPoint, so it's simple to view and modify.
To insert a survey into your presentation, the steps are similar to adding a quiz:
- Select “survey” from the Snap! by Lectora ribbon or menu.
- Instantly add questions by selecting one of the available question types. Like the quiz creator, the survey creator presents options for configuring the question and adds it to the question list.
- Use the text fields and controls to specify the parts of the question, such as the actual text vs. images or audio.
- Surveys can also be reused in other presentations by exporting and importing it into a new Snap! by Lectora presentation, which benefits ongoing developers.
- When you want to preview your survey, or a specific question, click the “preview” button.
- Once your survey is finished, save it and close the survey creator by clicking “save and close.”
